Hello everyone! First, thank you for reading my first blog post. I'm not someone that likes to read long blog posts because life is crazy, & I'm sure many people feel the same way. I'll try to keep this short & sweet! I also tend to use way too many exclamation points, so I'll try to work on that! Starting now.
Who am I? I am a wife & a mommy of three. Gavin is 4, Declan is 3, & Isabel is my sweet baby girl. Ryan, my husband of 5 years & he's awesome. We have two dogs: Murphy (the labradoodle) & Milo (the shipoo). Life.Is.Crazy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. To top the craziness off, I'm starting my own business.. WOOP! I'm very excited to share the knowledge I've gained over my career with you..
What makes me qualified to start this business? I have a degree in interior design & I've worked in the industry for almost a decade. I've been in furniture and accessories, custom high end furniture and accessories, paint, flooring, wallpaper, window treatments, & remodel design (kitchen, bathroom, and basements). Out of everything the thing I found most exciting was paint!
I worked for a Benjamin Moore retailer in Johns Creek, GA for 5 years where I picked up so much knowledge from the owners, whom I now consider my other family. I learned so much about paint colors & how so many factors affect them & your home. I learned that not many people know how to pick paint colors because it is truly really difficult. There's so much to consider when it comes to your paint colors. Lighting (huge), undertones, other colors existing in the home, fabrics, tile undertones, & so much more. They all have to make sense. To me, picking the right paint color is like an equation (WOW! I found away to make color boring). Everything has to make sense to equal the perfect paint color palette.
I'm not only excited to share my knowledge, but I have a very specific goal in mind. Having help with color shouldn't cost $500+/hour for an interior designer. As a mom of three, if there's anyone that understands affordability, it's this gal. My service is for everyone! I want my service to be affordable & easily accessible to those of you living in a 1 bedroom home or 20 bedroom home. You don't need a six figure income to afford an interior designer.
Thanks so much to everyone that stuck around to read this. It got a lot longer than I expected & I did not uphold my promise to use less exclamation points.
Please come back to this blog & follow me on social media for all the information on paint colors. I'm excited to start his journey & I'm excited to share with you!
